GHANAIAN FORWARD YAW ASAMOAH AGYEI JOINS ATALANTA

Date:

Ghanaian teenager Yaw Asamoah Agyei has completed a move to Italian Serie A side Atalanta from Ghanaian club EurAfrica FC on European transfer deadline day.

The 18-year-old forward has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with an option to extend for two more years, in a deal that underscores Atalanta’s continued investment in emerging African talent.

Agyei will initially join the Atalanta U-20 (Primavera) team, where he is expected to continue his development and push for a future place in the first team.

The move was facilitated by ArthurLegacy Sports, the Ghana-based player agency known for managing several high-profile Ghanaian footballers, including Ibrahim Sulemana (Cagliari), Prince Kwabena Adu (Viktoria Plzeň), and Felix Afena-Gyan (formerly of AS Roma, now with Amedspor).

Agyei’s transfer marks another milestone in the growing presence of young Ghanaian footballers in top European academies. Atalanta, famed for its youth development structure, provides an ideal platform for the forward to refine his talent and prepare for elite competition.

The move also highlights Ghana’s increasingly productive youth football system, with EurAfrica FC continuing to emerge as a key pipeline for nurturing talent destined for Europe’s major leagues.
