DR GEWAH Cleared to Contest NDC Elections, Says Weija-Gbawe Communications Officer

Date:

The debate surrounding whether Dr. Alex Kwame Appiah, popularly known as DR GEWAH, should be allowed to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) elections has been brought to a close, according to Don Petit, the Next NDC Communications Officer for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency.

In a statement shared publicly, Don Petit said investigations into the matter have confirmed that GEWAH has demonstrated a strong commitment to the NDC and therefore remains eligible to contest any election under the party’s banner.

According to the statement, GEWAH satisfies the party’s requirements and has the right to participate in NDC internal elections at any level, provided those requirements continue to be met. He has been a member since 2013 with a Gold party membership card, and has involved in several growth of the National Democratic Party.

Don Petit urged party members and supporters to move beyond the controversy and focus on issues that directly affect the development of the Weija-Gbawe Constituency.

“Let’s shift our focus to what truly matters—developing the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and improving the lives of our people.”

He concluded by declaring the matter settled, stating that the issue should no longer be a source of division within the party.

The statement was signed by Don Petit, Next NDC Communications Officer for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency.
