Asante Kotokohead coach Eric Tinkler says the team is primed to excel in the upcoming season and nothing will stop them from achieving their goals.The South African trainer was confirmed as the new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.Speaking in aninterview with the club’s media, Tinkler backed his team to achieve big things under his watch.This season, with our planning, with our preparation, with our professionalism, good work ethic, nothing stops us from achieving our goals, only ourselves,” Tinkler said.”The legacy I want to leave behind is obviously we make this not a sleeping giant but a live giant.Coming to the club, I know the pressure that is obviously going to be on me because we need to achieve, we need to win, we need to get this club back where it belongs,” he added.Tinkler takes over the Ghanaian giants that finished eighth in the Ghana Premier League standings in the 2025-2026 season and ran through three head coaches.Former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United head coach Tinkler played for South Africa at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and was part of the Bafana Bafana team that won the 1996 AFCON.Meanwhile, the 2026-2027 Ghana Premier League season commences in September.
