Wa Yaasin FC have received the GH10,000 prize pledged to them after winning the Upper West Regional U17 Championship.
The cash was handed over to the champions by Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) chairman Alhaji D.S. Yahaya and Juvenile League chairman Hanif Donkor.
The presentation recognises Wa Yaasin FCs success in the regional competition and fulfils the financial commitment made following their title victory.
The reward provides a boost for the clubs young players as they continue to build on their achievement and prepare for the next stage of the season.
Wa Yaasin FC will represent the Upper West Region at the KIVO/JLAB U17 Colts Inter-Club Championship later this year.
The tournament will give the regional champions the chance to face youth teams from elsewhere, while also offering their players an opportunity to demonstrate their ability on a larger stage.
Having secured the regional title, Wa Yaasin FC will now focus on preparations for the inter-club championship. The club will aim to extend its recent success and represent the Upper West Region strongly in the next competition.
The payment was confirmed by GFA Communications.
