Terry Yegbe scores first Lech Poznań goal in Champions League qualifier against AGF

Date:

Black Stars defender Terry Yegbe scored his first goal for Lech Poznań as the Polish champions cruised to a commanding 4-1 victory over Danish side AGF in the UEFA Champions League qualifying playoffs.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a memorable night, finding the back of the net to help Lech Poznań secure a healthy advantage ahead of the return leg.

Yegbe’s goal was his first since joining the Polish champions and capped another impressive display from the defender, who continues to establish himself as a key figure in the club’s backline.

Lech Poznań dominated the encounter, putting four goals past the Danish outfit to move within touching distance of the next stage of the competition.

The emphatic win gives the Polish side a strong platform heading into the second leg, which is scheduled to be played on July 29.

Yegbe will be hoping to carry his goalscoring form into the return fixture as Lech Poznań aim to complete the job and continue their quest for a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
