Former Ghana international Sulley Muntari has called for greater accountability within Ghana football, insisting that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is fully aware of the challenges confronting the sport.
The ex-Black Stars midfielder said the time had come for meaningful reforms, urging football authorities to take responsibility and implement changes that would improve the game’s direction.
Muntari, who enjoyed a distinguished career with clubs including AC Milan and Inter Milan, argued that addressing the issues facing Ghana football requires honesty and decisive action from those in charge.
“The Ghana Football Association knows exactly what’s happening,” the former midfielder said, stressing that transparency and accountability are essential to restoring confidence in the country’s football administration.
Although Muntari did not elaborate on the specific concerns, his comments add to ongoing discussions about governance and the future of Ghana football.
The 40-year-old has remained an outspoken figure since retiring from professional football, regularly sharing his views on issues affecting the sport and calling for reforms aimed at helping Ghana regain its status among Africa’s leading football nations.
