SINGER SISTA AFIA APPEALS TO GFA FOR ROLE IN PROMOTING BLACK STARS AHEAD OF WORLD CUP

Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has made a public appeal to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and stakeholders to be considered among artistes supporting the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

In a post shared on social media, the musician highlighted her long-standing support for the national team, stating that she has consistently used her platform to promote Ghanaian football both locally and internationally.

“I would like to respectfully appeal to the Ghana Football Association and all stakeholders supporting the Black Stars,” she wrote.

Sista Afia emphasised the importance of representation and the role of creatives in boosting national morale, noting that as a proud Ghanaian female artiste, she is committed to contributing positively to the team’s visibility and spirit.

“With the FIFA World Cup approaching, I would be honored to be considered for an opportunity to be part of this historic journey,” she added.

According to her, involving entertainers in national team campaigns can help inspire fans and strengthen the connection between sports and entertainment in Ghana.

Her appeal comes at a time when discussions around celebrity involvement in national team promotions continue to gain attention, especially as Ghana prepares for global competition.

Sista Afia expressed confidence that her inclusion would add value and further promote unity, concluding her message with appreciation to the GFA for considering her request.
