The seventh edition of the PRURide Cycling Race was officially launched on Tuesday at the VIP Conference Lounge of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
The launch ceremony brought together organizers, sponsors and key stakeholders to unveil plans for this year’s event, which is expected to attract cyclists from across the country.
Organizers outlined activities leading up to the competition and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting cycling as a healthy lifestyle and competitive sport in Ghana.
The climax of the 2026 PRURide Cycling Race has been scheduled for September 6 at the Borteyman Sports Complex, where participants will compete in the event’s final races.
PRURide has grown into one of Ghana’s leading cycling events, encouraging fitness, road safety awareness and community participation while providing a platform for both professional and recreational cyclists.
This year’s edition is expected to build on the success of previous races, with organizers promising another exciting event that will celebrate cycling and inspire more Ghanaians to embrace the sport.
