Karela United coach Nurudeen Amadu remains confident his side can recover from their difficult start to the Ghana Premier League season, insisting there is still enough time to get their campaign back on track. The Passioners have managed just nine points from their opening eight matches and are 13th in the standings after suffering a 1-2 defeat to Port City FC last weekend. However, Amadu believes the team must remain committed to their work and focus on improving their performances rather than become discouraged by their current position.”Oh, we’ll surely get there. I mean, this is just the first round. And so, we had difficulties at the beginning of the pre-season and at the beginning of the league when we had most of the players. Some of these things do happen, but you just have to continue going hard, continue training hard, and then things will get better because nothing has happened yet,” he said. The coach added that restoring the team’s winning form remains the immediate priority as they look to improve their position in the league.”For me, I think that we still have too many matches, and then we have to get the team back to winning ways, whatever the situation,” he added.Karela face another important test on Sunday, November 1, when they travel to the Wenchi Sports Stadium to take on Young Apostles. The Passioners have lost all four of their away matches this season and will be eager to end that run against a side also struggling for consistency.Young Apostles sit 17th with six points after losing four of their last five matches.
