The Ashanti Regional Football Association (RFA) has provided educational support to two promising Catch Them Young Referees, Samuel Akwasi Owusu and Philip Abalo.
The assistance is part of the Ghana Football Associations (GFA) Educational Support initiative, which is designed to help young match officials across all regions of Ghana continue their academic development while building careers in refereeing.
Owusu and Abalo, who attended the presentation with their mothers, each received financial assistance to meet their educational needs.
The initiative reflects the GFAs broader commitment to the development of young referees both on and off the field. By helping them with their studies, it aims to support the officials as they balance academic responsibilities with the demands of developing their refereeing careers.
The Ashanti RFA welcomed the initiative and praised the GFA for introducing a scheme it described as an important intervention in the academic and professional development of young match officials.
The regional association also congratulated Samuel Akwasi Owusu and Philip Abalo on their selection as beneficiaries, wishing them success in their education and future refereeing careers.
