Delta Airlines has experienced significant disruptions, with over 1,400 flights delayed or canceled today, representing nearly a third of their daily operations. This comes shortly after a major software update by CrowdStrike.
Numerous customers have filed complaints with the Department of Transportation regarding Delta’s customer service and refund policies during this period. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has emphasized that passengers are entitled to refunds for canceled flights and has advised Delta to provide additional compensation for affected customers’ unexpected expenses, including food and hotel stays.
Were your flights impacted by Delta’s cancellations this weekend?
We have received reports of continued disruptions and unacceptable customer service conditions at Delta Air Lines, including hundreds of complaints filed with @USDOT.
I have made clear to Delta that we will hold them to all applicable passenger protections.
