Nations FCThe Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Central African Republic referee Merveil Melvin Mandekouzou-Vendafara to handle the Confederation Cup preliminary-round fixture between Nations FC and FC Diarra.The Ghanaian representatives will make the trip to Bamako for the first leg, which will be played at the Stade Mamadou Konat on Saturday, September 5, 2026.Mandekouzou-Vendafara will be joined by Odrigue Menye Mpele from Cameroon and compatriot Elchior Telesphore Omokozoyen as his assistants.Meanwhile, Aime Landry Belly de Sombozo, also from the Central African Republic, has been selected as the fourth official, with Tunisias Belhassen Bessamra serving as the match commissioner.Besides, CAF has named Tunisias Belhassen Bessamra as the match commissioner, while Guineas Oulera Daloba has been assigned as the referees assessor.Nations FC will be aiming to put themselves in a strong position before the return leg by avoiding defeat in Bamako.The Ghanaian outfit faces a demanding away assignment against FC Diarra as they begin their campaign for a place in the next round of Africas second-tier club competition.
