
Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe has reportedly declined to serve on the five-member committee tasked with finding Ghanas next Black Stars head coach.Baffoe was named alongside former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, FIFA high-performance specialist Faisal Chibsah and football administrator Agbesi Dzakpasu on the committee chaired by former Ghana Football Association Vice President Fred Pappoe.According to reports, Baffoe had not accepted the appointment before his name was announced and was not properly consulted about the role.He is understood to have since communicated his decision not to serve on the committee, although he remains available to support Ghana in other capacities.The committee was formed after a meeting between the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the GFA on Friday, October 2, following Carlos Queirozs departure.It has been tasked with identifying, assessing and recommending a suitable coach for the Black Stars, with a report expected by Friday, October 9.Baffoes reported decision comes as Ghana works to appoint a new head coach after a difficult start to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.The Black Stars lost 2-0 to Cte dIvoire before suffering a 4-2 defeat to The Gambia and will face Somalia in their next qualifier in November.
