According to the latest survey by GeoPoll, Ghanaians feel politicians are the country’s largest fraudsters.
Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s vice president, is a well-known Ghanaian economist and banker. He took office on January 7, 2017.
When someone googles Ghana’s biggest liar, his name comes up.
He’s undoubtedly classified as the biggest liar because of his political shenanigans when it comes to keeping a campaign pledge.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, testified in front of a Judiciary Committee in Washington DC. During the questioning, he was asked about the company’s search results.
According to him;
“Anytime you type in a keyword, as Google we have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of Websites pages in our index. And we take the keyword and match it against their pages and rank them based on over 200 signals – things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it.
‘And based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best search results for that query. And then evaluate it to objective guideline. And that how we make sure the process is working. This is working at scale and we don’t manually intervene on any particular search result”
So from the above result, one can easily concur that Google doesn’t identify Bawumia as the biggest liar in Ghana, However, Bawumia’s image might have appeared because many Ghanaians have used the word or term with his name and Images.
