AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has been upset by Felix-Afena-Gyan following reports that the Ghanaian teenager went nightclubbing in Italy on Saturday.
Felix-Afena Gyan, a Ghanaian teenager, went clubbing last Saturday after missing AS Roma’s match against Spezia.
Roma boss Jose Mourinho has demoted the 19-year-old to the Primavera, and his future in the first squad is undetermined.
This season, Afena-Gyan earned his senior debut for Mourinho, scoring two goals in his third Serie A match on November 21.
According to Football Italia, Mourinho was upset by the 19-year-old’s actions and chose to bench him from AS Roma’s first team.
As a result of Mourinho’s punishment, Afena-Gyan has been demoted to the Primavera team and will now train with Roma’s youth team for the next few weeks.
