John Mahama Reacts To The Kasoa Man Who Committed Suicide On The High Tension Pole

Former President John Dramani Mahama has just issued an official statement concerning the young man who unfortunately committed suicide on the high tension pole on 14th October 2022.

The former president was out of the country when the incident happened. Upon his return, he sent out a message of solidarity to the deceased family and Ghanaians as a whole.

He acknowledged the level of hardship in the country and encouraged Ghanaians to be each other’s keepers and not to give up hope for the “sun will rise again”.

The young man, now identified as Kakra was reported to have ended his life due to economic hardship in the country which had overburdened him.

Former President Mahama tweeted “I returned from a trip to the sad news of Kakra who electrocuted himself. Levels of hardship in Ghana are dire; worst in 3 decades. But suicide is never an answer. Even in the darkest night, there’ll come dawn. The sun will rise again. Let’s be each other’s keeper & keep hope alive”

The Former President’s tweet has since generated varied reactions.
