Late Black Stars winger Christian Atsu has received a number of tributes following his demise in the Turkey earthquake.
While many attest to the skillset of the former Chelsea and Newcastle United player, many more have testified about the humanitarian mission he undertook in diverse ways to relief the poor, vulnerable and marginalized of hardship.
Among his merciful gestures were paying for the release of prisoners as well as instilling excitement in orphans.
The story of Mark Mensah, an ex-convict ,now a petty trader was told by 3Sports’ Yaw Ofosu Larbi about how Atsu supported the former inmate to find his feet back into society after serving his prison term.
A lot of the tributes to Christian Atsu have been about his humanitarian work much more than his trickery on the field. He helped many ex-convicts.@theyawofosu spent a day with one of them who benefitted from Atsu’s benevolence and told this story.#3Sports pic.twitter.com/iPs1j4hx54
