Ghanaians are really saddened by the death of footballer Christian Atsu, whose demise happened after an earthquake hit Turkey, where he plays club football, and who was found under the rubble days after the earthquake.
At the Wireless Music Festival in Abu Dhabi, where he performed over the weekend, sensational Ghanaian megastar Sherif Ismail Mohammed Frimpong, often known as Black Sherif, paid tribute to the late Ghanaian player.
The large screen behind Black Sherif displayed the words “Rest in Peace Atsu” during his performance as a tribute to Atsu.
The screen eventually changed to a mosaic of his images and the words “gone but never forgotten” appeared.
Sherif sang a rendition of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song during the heartfelt tribute.
