The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold its 32nd Ordinary Congress today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.The annual gathering will begin at 9:00am local time and bring together members and key stakeholders of the GFA to deliberate on issues affecting Ghana football and set the direction for the new season.Delegates are expected to review the just-ended season, assessing the organisation of competitions, performances across the various leagues and other developments within the game.The Congress will also provide an opportunity to discuss challenges encountered during the previous campaign and consider measures to improve the administration and development of football.With the 2026/27 season approaching, discussions are expected to focus on preparations for the new campaign, including competitions, player development, officiating and other matters requiring attention ahead of the season.The meeting is being held in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes and will serve as an important platform for members to deliberate on the state and future direction of Ghana football.Financial matters, activity reports, governance issues and the auditors’ report are also expected to form part of the business of the Congress.The one-day meeting comes at a crucial time as the GFA prepares to usher in another football season while seeking to build on lessons from the previous campaign.The Congress is expected to commence at 9:00am and run through the day’s scheduled business at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
